From the back cover:

"Felicity Kendal began writing these richly entertaining and deeply honest memoirs at her father's bedside as he lay in a coma. We enjoyed a trip into York to enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations this afternoon and I took the opportunity to swap a couple of BookCrossing books at the same time!
I chose this because, despite its being categorised as Mystery and Thrillers above, I believe these stories to be Memoirs and, as such, will count towards the two or three nonfictions I aim to read each month. Plus, I've long appreciated this actress's work :-) The Good Life, anyone . . . . ?

Memories of a lifetime in acting, including an unusual childhood spent touring Indian with her parents' Shakespearean (mostly) theatre company.
It jumps around in time, which gets a bit tiresome after a while. It's easy to keep track but it's not a writing style I appreciate. She starts writing as her father lies dying and ends, rather abruptly I thought, when he dies.
There are some odd quirks, for example she mentions her second husband but doesn't name him! I can understand a right to privacy but it does seem rather a weird detail to have omitted, especially when she tells us so much, although not all by any means, about her first husband and her relationship with Robert Bolt . . . .
OK but strange!
Note: The suspicious stain on the back pages has nothing to do with me!

Released 6 yrs ago (1/30/2018 UTC) at Sainsbury's, Wetherby Road in Harrogate, North Yorkshire United Kingdom

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Left on the shelves in the porch with the other fundraising books. Please be prepared to donate 50 pence or more to their current charity, Open Country, helping disabled people to access to countryside.

Well over a million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 over twelve million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!

Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't have to cost anything, although the site always appreciates donations towards running costs, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!
