After the long, dark winter, Leiv, Narua, Apuluk and Solvi are ready for adventure. They decide to head north with two dogsled teams to see if they can make it across the ice to Helluland (modern Baffin Island). But when a terrible blizzard and a shocking kidnap disrupt their journey, the four young travelers must use courage and quick thinking to get themselves home.
