I found this slim softcover, signed by the author, on the charity-sale shelves at a local Hannaford's. It's set in old Dunstable (now Nashua NH) in 1775, and the map of the area puts it practically on top of the street where I live! The details of the story and of the many illustrations highlight aspects of daily life in that place and time, with young Obadiah trying to juggle his responsibilities to his family with his desire to be part of something greater.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I plan to leave this book at the one-room-schoolhouse building on the grounds of the cemetery (also known as the Old Dunstable Cemetery); the cemetery dates to the mid-1700s, and as "Burial Yard" appears on the map inside this book. Hope the finder enjoys the book!
