I found this handsome hardcover, inscribed on a flyleaf to a previous owner, at a local Goodwill thrift shop. It contains Hughes' poems, beautifully illustrated with Fay Godwin's black-and-white photographs. From abandoned mills to lonely farms, from skeletal sheep to local legends, it's quite evocative. There are even some nods to the Brontes, as they lived in the region.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I left this book, bagged against the elements, on a bench at Warners Pond, while geocaching in the area. Hope someone enjoys it! (Check out the pair of swans on the lake...)
