I didn't mind trying to figure out what had happened to Sophie through the detectives eyes, and also being a part of Andee's journey in coming to terms with her own sister's disappearance years earlier, I felt that the story would have been a lot cleaner and more focused without all of the background on characters like Suzi Perkins and Kasia.
