The perfect wife. A fairytale family. Don't believe your eyes.
Jeanie and Matthew are a happily married couple who both have teenage children from previous relationships.
No one said it would be easy to raise a blended family under one roof but Jeanie and Matthew are strong. They will make it work.
And whilst Jeanie's step-daughter Scarlett rejects her, Jeanie will just have to try harder to win her over.
But Jeanie has a past. A terrible secret she thought she'd buried a long time ago. And now, it's coming to the surface, threatening to destroy her new marriage.
Someone is playing a terrifying game on Jeanie and she must put a stop to it once and for all.
After all, a fairytale needs a happy ending, doesn't it?

"A gripping psychological thriller with a killer twist" says the cover & that's no word of a lie! A rollercoaster of a book that rips along, throwing you this way & that & just as you're getting your breath back, you're sent spinning off in another direction - I don't think I've been surprised by so many twists for a long, long time.
I could feel my blood starting boil at the injustices & treatment that Matthew & his twins doled out to Jeannie - the poor woman got the blame for everything. However, there was always that nagging doubt that things weren't going to be as they first appeared. Just who was it who was playing these cruel tricks on Jeannie? Was she cracking up? The sense of unease was created beautifully & Jeanie's paranoia started to rub off an me - at one point I thought Marlena was going to be a figment of Jeanie's imagination, that maybe she had a split personality - then I remembered Marlena had met Matthew so that scenario was off the cards!
All-in-all I thought it was an excellent read & I thoroughly enjoyed being caught unaware by the way some of the events played out.
Finally...just a word to the wise, don't start reading this at night if you don't want to be up into the wee hours. It's pretty hard to put down...

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
On its way to join a new family as part of the "Wonderful Family Sweeps"....but is she a good step-mother or an evil one? Read it & see...:o)
I put it on top of my TBR pile because a Bookcrosser asked to read this book.
It really is a great story, full of twists and turns.
I suspected almost everybody at a time and was wondering until the end who was trying to make Jeanie's life a hell!
