The best novel by Arthur C. Clarke I read so far: Apart from the epilogue it keeps away from strange esotericism, the charcters are better developed than in most novels by Clarke I read so far, and there is even a plot that goes beyonde mere background for scientific ideas.
Yes, the scientific ideas are interesting as always at Clarke, and the casual world building is really fascinating. - And I liked, that this is one of the few books with a civil engineer as main character.
