This book is fantastic. Horrible, but fantastic. Prepare yourself for a wild, amoral trip with Sebastian Dangerfield, a wretched scoundrel who drinks, cheats, and lies his way through the streets of Dublin. Despite his despicable antics, you can't help but develop an affection for this miserable rogue; you hate him but you will laugh your a** off. Donleavy's writing is surprising and original. It's rather hard to believe this book was written 45 years ago. Banned in the US when it was first published.
