Picked up (ok, snatched out of meganh's hands!) at the Stewart Island uncon (with promises to pass it on to Discoverylover next). As I've read all of Pratchett's books many times, I doubt I'll find anything new in this collection of quotes, but it'll be interesting to see which ones the editor has chosen.

More of a dip-into book than one to read right through (although I did). Some of the quotes chosen don't work as well out of context, but it has inspired me to go back and read some of the earlier Discworld books again.

I'm going up to Wellington for a conference in a few days, and hopefully will catch up with Discoverylover while I'm there, so I'll be able pass on this book to her as promised.

Thanks for passing this on! I've read a bit of Pratchett and loved it, so hopefully this will help me decide what to read next!

I do like Terry Prachett's humour. It has such a basis in reality. Enjoyed the read. I will keep this book to offer at our next monthly Canberra BC get-together. Thank you for the chance to read it.

Hard to go past the sardonic mind of the late, great Terry Pratchett. This should really be a religious text for a cult.

Possibly it is.

The only thing better than Terry Pratchett on his ownsome is when he teams up with Neil Gaiman, and then the magic really crackles!

Registered for the Stewart Island Uncon, which was a load of fun, and travelled to Hobart on the Isle of Tasman, which was the same without quite so much wildlife - at least in my rooming house.

I'm tempted to take this to the Norfolk Island thing next year, but maybe it will travel a bit further, bouncing from convention to convention. I wonder where it will go?

Well, LadyIndigo turned up on my doorstep in a big black Mustang with a tonne of books for me to take to Mainz, and as it must have cost her a fortune in gas and wine to motor down from Orange, I consented to cram my bag full of her exquisitely wrapped gifties.

Which were received with raptures, I might add, when I got to Germany.

But some of my own books had to stay at home, and this was one of them.

Friday, so it is my U3A German lesson. They have a well-stocked set of swapshelves there, so this is adding to the ranks.
