From crinolines to bustles, waspies to siren suits, and farthingales to mini-skirts, this is a sometimes humorous look at the ups and downs of fashion--men's and women's--from the middle-ages up to today. These fashion must-haves seem to be mostly for British royalty as I doubt the common people could afford most of the outlandish items discussed. Not to mention that working women could hardly do any work while breathless in a tight corset or attempting to walk about in a hobble dress. The silly apparel worn by both genders in the past are certainly fun and cause us modern citizens to laugh. But hey, women today are still torturing their feet in 6" high heels with pointed toes. Seems silly and uncomfortable to me!
