As much as I love this series &, while it was a good read, I am going to be a bit negative & pick a few faults. In previous books, in particular the early books, theres been a good few cliffhangers at the end of some chapters, sadly nothing here had me on the edge of my seat. Grace seemed to have lost some of his edge & Cleo is turning into a whiny whinger - yes, I know she's got an excuse in being a new mum but I don't have to like it! As to the villain of the piece, from the first I knew where things were headed, so there were no surprises or red herrings as far as I was concerned which was a shame. It was very similar in content to at least one book I've read by Richard Montanari which perhaps was what stopped this one from being as fresh & exciting as it should have been.

As to the Sandy saga, well I'm quite enjoying the current scenario albeit a bit rough on her, being in a coma & all! But I'm sure a few books back, Sandy was buying Cleo's house, though maybe I'm remembering it wrong as I've read a good few books since then :o)

Overall I'd say it was a slightly disappointing read in an excellent series but still an above average tale.
