I took this handsome hardcover from the Little Free Library near the Adult Learning Center while dropping off some books of my own. I adore Spier's intricate artwork!

My favorites of his, including Christmas! and Noah's Ark, are mostly or entirely text-free; this book has a lot more text, but still contains the lovingly-detailed images - from the garden-of-Eden scene up front to the final scenes of a wonderfully-diverse downtown. The book describes the many ways in which people vary, from physical descriptions to favorite foods, cultural interests, location, beliefs, hobbies...

I left this book in the Little Free Library on this sunny day; hope someone enjoys it!
