It is the most anticipated event of the ton: the annual holiday ball at Hartwell House. The music is elegant, the food exquisite, and the guest list absolutely exclusive. Some come looking for love. Some will do almost anything to avoid it. But averyone wants to be there. No matter what their desires, amid the swirling gowns and soft glow of candlelight, magic tends to happen. And one dance, one kiss, one night can shape a new destiny.....
I enjoyed the first and third one - the middle one was strange. ALERT - a romance novel set in olden days England is a bit SPICY in spots. Not all young ladies remained virginal. Fun read that has all three linked by a Little Season Christmas Ball at the Hartwell House.
I will be bringing this in as part of the Christmas theme at Cravings.
Picked up at the Christmas meeting!
Cute regency short stories to start and end the anthology, regency uban fantasy in the middle which was a bit of an oddity...

Safely in my hands for next December...
3 short Christmas setting novels from early 1900.
The first would make a good “door slamming” romantic story at stage west.
The second one I had trouble with and the third one was good.

I am taking this book to our monthly bookcrossers meet up at Cravings - the second Saturday of every month- to pass on to the next reader.

Three fantastical legacy Christmases romances.
Only the second story had any supernatural elements, with a shapeshifter. Though I also like that it had a whole politcal conspiracy and mystery in it to make it more or a Christmas thriller! The other two stories or more typical ridiculous romances - but ones I thoroughly enjoyed. The first one wrapped up a lil too conveniently based on the initial character histories, but it wouldn't have been as fluffy otherwise. It was interesting that the first story brought in a bit or historic politics and conflicting views, and the third story briefly touched on some illnesses of the brain.
Thanks for the interesting reads!
