I got this slim illustrated hardcover at a local Savers thrift shop. Looks like an entertaining nostalgia trip!
Later: Quite fun, with loads of anecdotes about daily life in the 1930s. (Some of the tales could apply to much more recent times, depending on where you live, but others are very much vintage.) The illustrations add to the stories, whether it's about door-to-door salesmen, a spring tonic of sulfur and molasses, reading under the bed by flashlight (heck, I did that in the '60s), street hockey, or other aspects of life.
