This is a story about a psychiatrist who is in battle with a sociopath. Plus he has a very troubled teenage boy patient that has an obsessive crush on a girl. He has the age old dilemma that every psychiatrist dreads, whether to report a potentially dangerous patient to the authorities or not. Just when he decides, he finds himself plunged into a professional and personal maelstrom at the hands of a sociopath bent on destroying his practice, his family, and his life. A good read.
I only rated this book a 6 as I had a hard time keeping reading. I kept putting the book down. I, finally, forced myself to finish reading it. I, guess, the story was okay, but the topic wasn't my cup of tea. I, usually, really like Scottoline's stories, but this one was lacking in my opinion.
Releasing to bookstogive for her reading pleasure.
