I'm finally getting around to journalling the books I picked up at the UnCon. Sorry for the delay.
It is a long time since I read the First Chronicles of Thomas Covenant but thoroughly enjoyed them. However, this Second Chronicle isn't, in my opinion, as good. It is darker, and has less sense of hope but, other than that, seems to repeat many of the themes and ideas in the First Chronicle.

Thank you so much. The Thomas Covenant books are unusual in that they have a thoroughly unsympathetic protagonist. Look forward to seeing if I ever get to like Thomas any better.
