A wishlist book from my NNS partner. Thank you so much.
An immensely readable short book about the fall of Hitler and the Third Reich giving an informative account of the physical and mental state of Hitler leading up to his death. Fest's writing style is perfect for the non-specialist. Small facts such as the five pups of Hitler’s dog, Blondi, that was killed because Hitler did not want them to fall into enemy hands provides further proof of the incomprehensible state of mind of a man impossible to understand.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Adding to the bookring with a piece of equipment in and around the house in the title.
An explanation might be needed on a Scottish meaning of bunker (not as it is meant in the book title).
1. 1758, originally Scottish, "seat, bench"
2. 1782, A chest; “window-seat”
3. 1866, “a large chest for containing meal”
In my first job after school, I worked with women from near Glasgow who called their kitchen cabinets/units "the bunker".
