I got this fair-condition paperback from the Lucky Dog thrift shop. It's from a mystery series featuring retired physicist Gloria Lamerino as the amateur sleuth. Here, she's in California for an old friend's wedding, only to have the proceedings disrupted when the groom is accused of a murder. The "Nitrogen" in the title refers to a classified research project involving that element, but I admit that I wasn't as interested in that aspect of the plot...
