A young Australian woman who may or may not have a fatal genetic illness decides to run away instead of waiting for the results of her blood test. Once in London she falls in with a disparate group of squatters and falls into a lifestyle of drugs, parties and crap jobs. It all seems to be going along in a predictable and uninteresting way when there's a sudden, very dark shift in plot and tone. It's a welcome development even though it becomes quite difficult to read sometimes and it saves it from being the usual druggy coming of age story.
