Slim in size but not in feeling. I read parts of it aloud to get the most out of Smart's poetic prose. I may even seek out an audio book version to relive the experience. Recommended for anyone who is more into language and style than plot.

Thank you, Annimanni! The beautiful thing is here.

An awesome work, like music. Indeed, the plot is sparse, yet highlighted now and then, like the interrogations of the policeman (put parallel to Biblical quotations!).

Only 112 pages, but filled my day. This book cannot be devoured.

Thanks again!

Thank you, the book arrived yesterday. "The best things in life are free" card pleased me too.

The book has stayed untouched in my book shelf for almost a year. That's why I thought it's time to read it. But oh how unprepared I was for this one. How heavy this is! How confusing and difficult, certainly not to be devoured as ruzena wrote. And I've already read the first chapter and paged through the rest of it trying to figure out if I want to read it. The language is poetic and beautiful yes but all this blood and whatever seems so dramatic for me that I don't know if I'll be able to relate to this at all. I'll think about this. I've read some journals and the foreword an I think I should maybe read the book again as I now know a little about a background. Already the first page makes much more sense when I know about the love triangle.

The love triangles are tragic. I read this, one chapter at a time. It didn't really change my first impressions but I thought I'd honour the book.
The cover is beautiful and it has a moon (suits one reading challenge).
