George Woodbury, a beloved science teacher at a local prep school, is charged with sexual misconduct with several students. While he sits in prison awaiting trial and claiming his innocence, his family deals with feelings of denial and rage.

With all the current news about sexual misconduct in the workplace, this story seems very relevant for our time. Although these are teenage girls making the accusations, I’m sure the emotions of George’s wife, lawyer son, and teenage daughter are very similar. Who do they believe - - their wonderful father who they have no reason to doubt or young girls they have never met?

One thing I know for sure in this time of social media and 24 hour news, accusations, whether true or false, have consequences to not only the person being accused, but also his or her family, friends, and community.
