I got this slim softcover at a local yard sale. It's a surprising story-within-a-story, where a land in which all food falls from the sky is considered quite normal by its residents, until the food-weather turns nastier and nastier...
This was the inspiration for the 2009 animated film, although the film expanded on the concept quite a bit. (I rather prefer the book, myself, though the film was entertaining.)
