Dr. Bill Brockton is called upon to help with a case involving some bones found in the woods of a nearby county in Tennessee. When they arrive on the scene they discover to their horror that the victim was chained to a tree to die but turns out that it was a more terrible death than just that.

Additionally a criminal from the past reappears on the scene determined to kill Dr. Brockton and his family at long last.

This was a good one in the series and is now ready to travel onward.
