I got this good-condition softcover from Better World Books, for another release copy.
The story's about Asuka, a boy who loves "girly" things like sewing, making cute toys, etc. But his mother, teachers, and most of his classmates expect a boy to behave in a more "manly" fashion, so he's trying to hide his preferred hobbies and pretend to be a jock. Turns out there's a girl in his class who seems to be a real jock herself, tough and forthright and totally uninterested in cooking or sewing. A match made in... heaven?
The two hit it off, and Ryo learns Asuka's secret pretty quickly, as well as the reason why his mother is so very militant against any hint of feminine preferences in her son. And it seems that other students are picking up on Asuka's hidden side too, with a variety of intriguing reactions. Along the way there are some very funny scenes, and some more touching ones, with the main characters thinking about what it really means to be one's self, and to be strong.
[The TV Tropes page for the series is entertaining, and is how I heard about it in the first place.]
