I got this paperback from the ongoing charity-sale shelves at a local Hannaford's. It's from a series that's a kind of "Sir Francis Drake in Space", with the main characters trying to deal with interstellar conflict - and the effects that war can have on individuals. Faith and friendship are both key elements here. And I enjoyed the author's postscript in which he explains why he's not from the same Drake family as Sir Francis - though there was a connection way back!

I plan to leave this book in or near B.T.'s Smokehouse while stopping by for some of their awesome BBQ. Hope the finder enjoys the book!
