From the back cover:

"2035 - Richard Somers, ex-rock star, tucked away safely in an enclave for the very rich and the very powerful, is bored. Every luxury wealth can buy and an affair with the wife of a senior civil servant are not enough. But back into his life comes his sister Hannah-Rosa and her troupe of travelling dancers - and with her a disk containing their father's unpublished scenario describing man's - or rather woman's - origins in a Garden of Eden on the shores of an African lake.

'Trajectories' is an apocalyptic vision, a user's guide to the twenty-first century; it contrasts the idyll that was the origin of our species with its final decades in a polluted, doomed environment, the pampered, secure life of the haves with the squalor and the civil strife of the majority. It confirms his reputation as a major writer for our times."

Picked up cheaply, especially for BookCrossing purposes.

I'm planning to release it at this Tuesday evening's 'Dystopia'-themed BC Meetup - being held at The Brigantes in York from 7pm onwards...

Released 6 yrs ago (8/22/2017 UTC) at Brigantes Bar & Brasserie OBCZ / Meetup Venue in York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom

Picked this up at York bookcrossing. Started to read it but lost interest. the world created was a bit depressing and the plot wasn't exciting enough to motivate me to continue reading.

Collected at December meetup for no particular reason. Weird-ass scifi. Hooray.

Released 4 yrs ago (5/28/2019 UTC) at Brigantes Bar & Brasserie OBCZ / Meetup Venue in York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

That was bizarre. After an environmental disaster, the population is only a fraction of what it was and governments are doing mass ethnic cleansing - against the backdrop of an unpublished book about aquatic ape theory popular in the 90s but disproved.

Since this has been kicking around for a while now, in order to free up some space on the Brigantes OBCZ Bookshelf, I thought I'd move it on to the Ye Olde Starre Inne OBCZ Bookshelf - where hopefully it'll find a new reader...

Released 4 yrs ago (9/19/2019 UTC) at Ye Olde Starre Inne OBCZ Bookshelf in York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom
