A series of suicides throughout the Peaks throws Detective Inspector Ben Cooper and his team in Derbyshire's E Division into a race against time to find a connection to these seemingly random acts - with no way of predicting where the next body will turn up. Meanwhile, in Nottingham Detective Sergeant Diane Fry finds a key witness has vanished...

But what are the mysterious Secrets of Death?

This is a great story, less Fry and more Cooper. The storyline is different and quite thought provoking. One of my favourite Cooper and Fry books.
I will be passing it on to a non-bookcrossing friend.

A very good read and thought provoking on the subject of suicides, definitely more than just your normal gritty crime story.
I did like the characters too but felt a bit lost at times as there is clearly backstory between Ben Cooper and Diane Fry that I did not know about but I still enjoyed the book.
