I got this good-condition paperback from Better World Books. I've read a lot of true-crime books, but I admit I'd never thought of Canada as the home of serial killers!

There were one or two killers here whose crimes I had heard of - the infamous Karla Homolka being one; the others included women striking back at abusers, killing in a jealous rage, or just plain striking out in fury... Some cases were tragic, with histories of abuse contributing to the killers' behavior, and others are just chilling. Some cases had massive socio-political aspects, too, especially those involving First Nations people; there was an actual tweak to the Canadian criminal code for "aboriginal offenders".

I did appreciate the inclusion of a what-happened-next - convictions, plea bargains, early releases, etc.
