I got this fair-condition softcover at a local Savers thrift shop for another release copy.
I first discovered this series via the manga adaptation of this book, and enjoyed it very much, so I went on to read the original novels as well. (It turns out that the manga adaptation included a surprising amount of the plot of the original, and even many of the most charming character bits - a good adaptation.)
Novel or manga, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A lively story, some steampunk touches, amusing and entertaining dialog, loads of plot twists (with some serious suspense in among the gossip and romance), a heroine who's strong-willed, intelligent, and great at snarky remarks (not to mention her supernatural abilities, which cause some very funny scenes - and one extremely touching one), and some characters that I dearly want to learn more about (especially Lord Akeldama and Professor Lyall). And the series does a deft job of bringing vampires and werewolves into a very staid London society!
[There's a TV Tropes page for the series, with lots of entertaining info; just beware of spoilers!]
