Tall format paperback from the big annual Friends of the Library booksale. It's not a title I'd normally expect to see in the science fiction/fantasy section, but if the summary on the back cover is accurate then that's where this book belongs (and that would fit with what I know of the author's work).

This is a movie tie-in with some very impressive (and not terribly period) armor on the cover: I am familiar with the original 47 Ronin story, but haven't seen this film, which sounds like it's quite different from the usual presentation (a big studio production starring Keanu Reeves would pretty much have to be).
