I think this is my favorite of Shusterman's books, at least so far. The concept still blows my mind: I recently listened to this as an audiobook and Roland's big scene (you'll know it when you get there) is horribly effective that way.

Teenagers may be hard to live with sometimes, but it's worth remembering that it's not easy to BE a teenager...and that most of them do eventually turn into worthwhile adults, if given the chance. How many parents might choose unwinding in a moment of anger and regret it later? I suspect far too many.
