Oh dear, that cover illustration! Just what is that woman supposed to be wearing, there’s everything about it of the Victorian idea of Regency costume. That fitted bodice is a disaster as there’s no corset under it and whoops… that dreadfully flattened and far too revealing front…
Into the post on the FRI 24 MAY 2019 after too many delays to mention… i.e. Spent a number of the previous days re-reading some of the other books in this "Regency Reads" parcel again THE LADY MOST LIKELY [last read in 2017] as while doing release notes I realised some details though enjoyable had become lost to me, so a re-read would be fun.
