The Christmas Tree
3 journalers for this copy...
I'll begin by saying that I've read this wonderful book every year for the past 10+ years. It wouldn't seem like Christmas without it.
Since I live in NY and have visited the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree many times, this story has a real pull for me. But it's much more than the search for the perfect tree; the author gives the characters such feeling and personality that everything comes alive; their connection with nature is a strong and beautiful thread throughout the book.
*Highly recommended (even if you don't celebrate Christmas :-)

I am SOOOO looking forward to reading this little book...a first by this author for me ; ), and to looking more closely (with my magnifier so my eyes can see them) at the beautiful little illustrations, as I am both an Artist...and a Gardner...at heart. ; ) I was especially intrigued to read on the inside flap that this book is narrated by the chief gardener from Rockefeller Center!!! : D THANK YOU SO very much for this lovely little "Christmas Tree", Jackie700...and for the "presents" that came "under" it. ; ) The arrival of your package was a real "DAY BRIGHTENER", and your kindness is greatly appreciated. ; )
VERY much enjoyed reading this little book, and while I'm behind on making my release notes, and didn't release this one soon enough for it to count for booklady331's 2017 Christmas in July, I RABCKed it to queenfrog who loves Christmas per her BC Bookshelf, along with "This Side of the Sky" per her reading preference, and a "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspirational Word-Find" to hopefully brighten her day. ; ) https://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/10/543729

Not sure where this book has been as it has only just arrived. Thank you so much
Very quick and easy read. It had been sitting on my shelf for too long and today I needed a quick light read. I loved the way this story unfolded, with the little stories within actually telling the story. Thanks for sharing this
