I'm about to take a few books to Scotland to send from there when I go this weekend - if I can fit it in, perhaps I'll take this along and if I can finish it on the trip over I can send it on to Clairby11xxx from Glasgow before returning to Switzerland. Otherwise I'll try to read it as soon as my fairly crushing work load allows, and send it off within a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for making this available - and happy onset of the holiday season, everyone!

This is here as a bookcrossing spiral/ ring (I don't know if there are more than two books in this, and am not sure if two can constitute a spiral?). The first was a quick read and as it was heading to the UK after me and I was heading to the UK (or Scotland) soon, I read and parcelled it, to bring along with me and post from Glasgow. Just before leaving, this one arrived, so I took it along to read on the trip and hopefully post from here as well.
I just checked Fantastic Fiction and see that my uncertainty as to whether this is now done is justified. There are, so far, three digital novellas related to the books, and the last one is presented as a prelude for the sequel of Enders.
The story is quite intriguing, and as I often read this type of book with an eyebrow raised as to whether this would be a good read for my advanced EFL students, this one has possibilities. Unfortunately I find the second, in terms of message, more clear, and for many of the teens I work with, that might be too many pages to plow through in a second language.
As for the actual story, it had plenty of twists and turns, and is a very good read on a journey, as I was easily absorbed. I was a bit sorry to have already parcelled the first so well, so I couldn't open it and share with some of those travelling with me. I hope the next will be included in this spiral.
Thanks for sending on, Florence, even if it wasn't your cup of tea (I appreciated that you sent me hopefully something which could have been more your cup of tea with the book!), and thanks for making this available, rodespringbal!

I enjoyed this as much as the first book, an easy and thrilling read, the plot doesn't really bear up to too much scrutiny but it was fast-paced and full of action.

I enjoyed the second book possibly more than the first. I missed my train stop as I got near the end and I was so fully engrossed.

The sequel to Starters sees Callie teaming up with Hyden to fight back against the Old Man, responsible for implanting young people with chips enabling their bodies to be used. Callie and Hyden try to gather all of the 'Metals' - those with implanted chips - into one place in order to keep them safe, but the Old Man is still taking control of her and she also gets a message which uses her Dad's codeword, even though he was killed by spores years ago. Given the plot device used in the previous book, it's obvious from the start that Price will go the same route again and that the mysterious Hyden will turn out not to be what he seems, which caused me to dislike him from the start, and the plot isn't as strong as Starters. It's still a fun read though.
