This is on its way to the winner of the Global Sweeps, hope you enjoy this and all the other books heading your way :-)
This book arrived a while ago and I was sure I left a JE, but maybe something went wrong. Thanks for sending this, it looks like an interesting book.
This was a nice book, especially for a debut. I liked how the story alternated between summaries of heavy Russian novels and the sort of light reading that is the main character’s life as an expat in Russia.
The main character (Martin, I think?) is doing a PhD on women in Russian literature. He takes a bit of an alternative approach to his research by sleeping with nearly every “dyev” in Moscow, in order to get an overview on the collective female mind of modern Russia. His PhD-supervisor did not exactly approve of his methods. I really liked the ending of the story, being somewhat unexpected.

I always try to post my controlled releases with real stamps. If you are not a collector yourself, you might want to check out this post on the forum about a stamps sweeps that I organised (now closed) or this one about Bookcrossers who collect stamps. A lot of Bookcrossers collect stamps for charity, so it’s nice to find them a good home!

This one will stay in Finland for now, too. Thank you!
