When I saw this at the book sale, my first thought was that my squirrelly friend, would like this. Best wishes to you, Deb, and I hope that you are well on your mend.

Seed Catalogue is an autobiographical long poem by Canadian prairie poet Robert Kroetsch, This new limited edition is illustrated with wood engravings by Jim Westergard. First published in the 1970s, Seed Catalogue is the seminal work of poetry that first gave voice to the long root in Prairie writings of the metaphor of the seed catalogue. The poem explores the actual world of history transformed into the mythical world of poetry, where what we remember about the past may be more real than history tells us.

What a wonderful surprise! Thank you so much herchelle. I will be reading this out on my back deck, while I drink my tea and looking over the cornfields, marsh grass, cattails and my untilled veggie garden. I'm trying very hard to get myself back to health. Slow process. Thank goodness for good books and good friends!

Well, I read this a while back and never journaled. It was a fun read. I put my feet up and savored the words written on the pages while dreaming of running my fingers through the good earth and planting seeds in my own garden. Sending this book on another journey to a mutual BC friend of ours.

Thanks imawinn2 for not only this book of poems, but for all the awesomeness of the postcards, M&M peanuts (my favorite), the Cow Tales and the Cow Pattie (never had either one before, but certainly will soon), all the different teas, and the bookmark of my state including my city, which is on it. What a clever idea! Can't wait to read the poems and munch down on chocolate and sip some new-to-me teas. The flavors smell delicious. Thank you; I am blown away and wondering what I did to deserve this. Then I know; bookcrossers like you are so awesome.
