a good summer story to get lost in

I quite enjoyed this retelling of the classic “Beauty & the Beast” fairy tale. The characters are more fleshed out & human, including living, healthy relationships between Beauty & her sisters. Could perhaps recognize elements of the Disney version (Beauty is bookish) but thankfully the author left out the violent mob scene. My only critique might be the absolute rush finish—as soon as Beauty agrees to marry Beast all the other story lines are zipped through & glossed over in apparently a matter of hours— I would have enjoyed a reunion scene between Robbie & Grace for example.
