This book came from a box of books which I received on 3/13 from my daughter's boyfriend.
c. 1996 -- 387 pages -- Paperback
Back Cover: When an antique bridal quilt appears under mysterious circumstances at the vintage clothing shop where Rachel Grant works, she is fascinated. She has never been able to resist handmade textiles from the past, for she believes that thrugh the ages, women wove protective magic into their fabrics in order to mark the important events of their lives: birth, marriage, and death.
But there is more than good in the quilt's magic power. Day by day Rachel sees and feels the power growing, as she senses the quilt influencing her thoughts and actions. Much as Rachel's logical mind longs to deny the supernatural, the aura of evil coming from the quilt is terrifyingly real, and it seems to carry a sinister legacy into the lives of the people Rachel loves.

Just one day back from my vacation in Key West and besides my dad leaving a birthday present for me on my kitchen table, I've got a surprise RABCK from cyber-librarian plus a few other books I was waiting for too. Wheeeee!!! :)
I've got Ammie, Come Home, also by Barbara Michaels, near the top of my TBR pile. I'm not sure whether that book and Stitches in Time are part of an actual series or whether they just contain some of the same characters, but I was going to try to read them in the published order nonetheless, with Shattered Silk being second and Stitches being third. So Stitches will have a little rest on my bookshelf before I get to it, but I'm happy to know that it's here waiting for me when I'm ready.
Thanks again cyber-librarian!! :) And do let me know if you haven't read Ammie, Come Home and would like me to send it to you after I've finished it. (I didn't see it on either your bookshelf or your wish list so most likely you read it before or outside of BookCrossing.)
