From the back cover:
"In the deep winter snows of a Swedish hamlet, a strange young woman fakes a break-in at the house of an elderly artist in order to persuade her that she needs companionship. But what does she hope to gain by doing this? And who ultimately is deceiving whom? In this portrayal of two women grappling with truth and lies, nothing can be taken for granted. By the time the snow thaws, both their lives will have changed irrevocably."

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
releasing, as promised...
Well written but left me with a lot of questions. It is unclear whether the main character has some form of autism and the ending leaves a lot unresolved. I took the message from it that stripping away healthy delusions can leave you paranoid and unhappy.
I really enjoyed this book. It's very well written and the characters are astounding. Even the semantic style is used to convey characters with sharp sentences for Katri's narrative and longer, sometimes confusing sentences for the thoughts of Anna. I totally agree about it leaving me with a lot of questions though. The ending is quite inconclusive but I think part of the beauty of the novel is that it allows the reader to form their own musings although it is slightly frustrating.
Passed onto my partner who passed it on to a friend...
A cold and chilly book set in Sweden, it makes you question why we do the things we do. It doesnt wrap everything up at the end and the characters can remain mysterious until the end but worth your time to read.
