This is the first book in the Inspector Singh Investigates series and Inspector Singh is in a bad mood. He's been sent from his home in Singapore to Kuala Lumpur to solve a murder that has him stumped. Chelsea Liew - the famous Singaporean model - is on death row for the murder of her ex-husband. This is the second time I've read this book. The first was several years ago. Having lived in Malaysia as a young woman, and visited occasionally since, I've enjoyed it both times for the local colour. The puzzles are also good...I have read most of the series...and must make an effort to find those I haven't yet read.
