Interesting and enjoyable for the most part - though the final section on travelling seemed to be there to make up the page count as much as anything, If you skip it, you're not missing much. Stuff about Hong Kong political culture, architecture, food, public transport, etc was much better. The bite size essays were informative and not difficult at all to digest.

I don't really know much about contemporary Hong Kong life, so really enjoyed these snippets about all kinds of topics. I agree with LittleSuz that the last couple of chapters weren't as good as the rest.
