Amazon Editorial Review
A WHOLE NEW REASON TO MIND THE GAP
It begins with a dead body at the far end of Baker Street tube station, all that remains of American exchange student James Gallagher—and the victim’s wealthy, politically powerful family is understandably eager to get to the bottom of the gruesome murder. The trouble is, the bottom—if it exists at all—is deeper and more unnatural than anyone suspects . . . except, that is, for London constable and sorcerer’s apprentice Peter Grant. With Inspector Nightingale, the last registered wizard in England, tied up in the hunt for the rogue magician known as “the Faceless Man,” it’s up to Peter to plumb the haunted depths of the oldest, largest, and—as of now—deadliest subway system in the world.
At least he won’t be alone. No, the FBI has sent over a crack agent to help. She’s young, ambitious, beautiful . . . and a born-again Christian apt to view any magic as the work of the devil. Oh yeah—that’s going to go well.

Thank you Lamilla, the third book is here.
On its way to BaiLong in China.
Book received, thanks. I'm looking forward to reading it.
I really love Peter Grant and his ultra rational approach to magic ^^
Another great mystery solved.
I also like learning so much about London, in addition to the interesting mystery.

"You're so boring. You'd think a copper who was a wizard would be more interesting. Harry Potter wasn't this boring. I bet Gandalf could drink you under the table."
After this third volume in this series it's obvious to any reader that one of the main characters is London itself. All the details, information and history come naturally as part of the plot and story. Warning: reading the series gives you a strong urge to travel to London. But, the city won't be the same. You'll keep wondering what truly is under ground...

This arrived along with the second book in the series (and some lovely cards). Thanks for sending and for making this series available. I'll try to get to these soon, but have quite a bit of work that has to take first place. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy holiday season.

I wasn't sure whether to count this as a mystery as well as paranormal or in this case, magic.... I am reading these books thanks to a bookcrossing spiral and I am enjoying them greatly - and have in fact ordered the series to be delivered as a present to my daughter, who lives in London. I find the characters well described and like the faces in the pottery described in this story, each one is completely unique and individual. I was a bit unsure about the presence of Reynolds in this story - I wonder if she'll appear sometime in the future. Super read.
The next in line has asked me to wait before sending these, so hopefully I can get them sent from France in a few weeks - it's far less expensive than shipping from Switzerland. Thanks so much for making these available.

This and the previous book in the series/spiral travelled to France yesterday by car (from Switzerland), and now have been posted off to Ireland. Again, thanks for making these books available. I wish everyone a brilliant 2020 with magnificent adventures, both on and off the page!
The book arrived safely at my home. Thanks!!!
I enjoyed reading this one also. It took me a while to get hooked until the mid of the book, but after I really enjoyed it. Due to the isolation period due to the current pandemic, I'm not sure when I'll be able to send it to the next person, but I'll do it as soon as it is possible.

Finished this quite some time ago in the midst of summer. First had a hard time getting into it, but that was probably because of the circumstances. After a while I enjoyed the story, although I don't remember the ending anymore.
