"The cold blustery Midwest winters don't exactly agree with Betsy Devonshire, but since moving to Excelsior, Minnesota, she sure has met a lot of warm, friendly people. So she isn't too surprised when the town's most talented needleworkers volunteer to restore a damaged tapestry that was found in the basement of a local church. Betsy even offers to donate materials for the project, thinking that the free publicity will boost sales at her financially troubled needlecraft shop. But soon Betsy is afraid of losing more than her business - because her good intentions have unleashed some deadly secrets..."

Thank you so much , not only for the book ( which is next on the series for me, I can go on now!) but also lovely chocolate and bookmarks, especially the one self-made!

Thank you! I think a couple of extra books have crept into the parcel (four altogether)...

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I liked the book. For some reason I haven't commented it when reading, which is what I normally do 'cause if I leave it until the end I will forget what I wanted to say. With mysteries you can't comment too much or you will spoil the plot. This time I say that I, too, have taken a course of "Car maintainence for women" back in the dark middle ages. Very useful, now I know why I pay for those greasy guys and have no desire to change tyres or oil. I was very proud of myself having changed the posterior wind screen wiper with my own little hands this summer.
I have read two or three books of this series, but it would be nice to know how it all began. I guess the first of the series will come my way one fine day.

This has been a hectic August and the heat wave we had for almost two months didn't help at all. I finally finished this book last week and got bookfrogster's address today, will try to post tomorrow.
I'm adding a little stich work to travel together with the book (see pic). If bookfrogster is into cross-stiching and takes this to her own use, it would be nice if she would replace it with another pattern for the next reader. Or if she prefers reading, then this one could travel ahead. Just a thought.

This has arrived safely in Edinburgh! Thank you so much for the wee cross stitch kit too. I love both knitting and cross stitch so that was a good guess. ;-) I'm sure I can find something stitchy to send to the next reader. The postcard was also an excellent choice as I love dogs that look like teddy bears. LOL.

I am really enjoying this series. The main character is likeable and not an annoying pushy busybody as the main women characters in this type of book can be portrayed. (I'm reading one by another author where the amateur detective is exactly like that!) I like all the chat about what everyone is making too. Thanks again for this one Kirjakko. :-)
