OK not a happy bunny, abed with a stinker of a cold on my birthday weekend instead of hosting a weekend birthday party in the sun and planning a long dip in a heated, open-air sea-water pool. Deeply in the shade (yup – in my bedroom with the blinds closed) as the light hurts my eyes, the temp is 25% and I suspect, a combo of dehydration, hay-fever, a cold and a possible chest infection are taking their toll. Picked this up as consolation… Hmmm, on page 45, and wondering if this goes on being as clichéd, obvious and right-wing all the way through? Can’t say I won’t give it a decent go though… So off I go for more before my eyes click shut.
Let me know what you think Mr F9. I was in two minds seeing as at first this seemed formulated to excite interest by merely being deliberately sensationalist. Parsons appeared to be shunning subtly and going instead for blunt as an old brick, but in fact this turned out to be more than a mass of clichés and obvious opinion. A thrilling page-turner which had gone, a bit all over the place, by its end.

Now listed as ‘Travelling’, because this will be posted later today in one of three birthday BookCrossing parcels!
UPDATE - WED 29 AUG 2018: organisational hic-cups meant alteration to my posting schedule. In the end the total number of late BIRTHDAY BOOKCROSSING parcels totalled five, each under 2 kg’s in weight. These all entered the Postal system last thing today and will be picked up and processed on Thursday 30 August.

Arrived in Somerset as part of Mr Flutterbies9's bumper birthday set of packages.
I think this is a new author for him but with tbr having just been added to in spectacular fashion, I'm not sure how long he will take to get around to it!

Mr Flutterbies9 started on this book and over the next week kept trying to get further through it. He managed to just about half way and finally gave it up, sorry.
He said that it did not grab him and make him want to read it but really he felt that he had other more interesting books clamouring to be read instead and he would rather try something else. Although not an author he has read before, he said that he may try another from him but would not be searching them out at the moment.
I have no specific plans for this but it may yet go into a bookbox, who knows?
