Fergus Kintrey is a small-town bookseller in Vermont. With a failed marriage, a recurring drink problem, even a period of his life he cannot remember, he might as well wear a big sign marked 'Loser'. Luckily - or unluckily - for him, he also possesses a photographic memory.

Soon after receiving a mysterious email containing simply a list of names and addresses, he is visited by the FBI - and immediately the killings start. Forced onto the run with his girlfriend Kelly, Fergus is branded a public enemy... Everywhere he goes, people die brutally.

Meanwhile in Nevada, gifted test-pilot Harry Sixsmith is feeling bored and restless. With nowhere to go but the same endless grey corridors, he desperately wants to fly again. But he's been temporarily grounded after breaking the rules while out flying a top-secret aircraft. Unfortunately Harry hasn't learned his lesson and soon will find himself in even bigger trouble.

As 'Mad Dog Killer' Kintrey continues his corpse-strewn rampage across New England, he decides his only hope is to trace the source of that fateful email. And Harry increasingly realises that something's very wrong with his own world, for his superiors will stop at nothing to conceal the truth.

As inexorably the paths of these two desperate misfits converge - while they uncover secrets beyond their imaginings - their final chance of survival will depend on the most awesome air-show the world has ever seen.

I finished my book on the plane here, so was hoping this book would still be at The cafe. That’s what took me to Le Temps Danse, but then stayed for lunch. It was delicious! Glad I stopped in and now have something to read!

I read this a little on the plane, but then put it down and never got back to it. Releasing instead.

Stopped to see all the Gullah art. (I’ll have to blog about that.) left this with the brochures in the brochure rack. Enjoy!
