Daphne is a 74 year old woman whose wartime past comes back to haunt her in this exploration of how we edit life, how even the smallest actions can reverberate, and how decisions which seem right and understandable at one time and place can be interpreted quite differently in a different time and place.
I struggled with this book, but that's definitely my fault, and not the book's, as I've been pretty ill. I'm so glad I finished it, as I really wanted to know how it panned out. Hope the next reader will enjoy it.
