"Dom Sabalos had a lot of advantages.
As heir to a huge fortune he had an excellent robot servant (with Man-Friday subcircuitry), a planet (the First Syrian Bank) as a godfather, a security chief who even ran checks on himself, and on Dom's home world even death was not always fatal.
Why then in an age when prediction was a science, was his future in doubt?"

I've had this book for ages in my TBR pile, as it's such a short one I finally decided to pick it up between reads. I'm not really a fan of Science Fiction but I've enjoyed other Pratchett books from the Discworld series and I was expecting this one to be as good. I'm sorry to say I didn't like it, I didn't even finish it, I got halfway through and couldn't take it anymore. I found the story much too complicated and messy, the author doesn't give us enough information to understand the universe we're in, most of the time I just felt lost! :os
This one is now going to asterw in Spain, for Reverse Wish List Relay #? BookRelay. I hope you like it more than I did! ;o)
I received the book today, thank you very much Virgulina! I also hope that I'll enjoy this book more than you did ;o)
eeemmm.... that's what happens when I just see the author and don't take a better look at the description of the book... I didn't realize that it was a sci-fi book and much as I like fantasy books, I almost can't stand sci-fi, at least not when I cannot understand the world the story is supposed to take place.
I mailed it a couple of days ago to Krin511 for the YBS. I hope you enjoy it!

Arrived today - thanks!
I finished this book a while ago, and am finally making a journal entry. The book was an interesting parody of science fiction - sometimes funny, often confusing. It was sometimes difficult to keep the characters straight.
