Do not let the catching title lead you into thinking this book has something to say. It has no research, just one Brit's thoughts on moving to the country mixed with some history lessons.
I wouldn't recommend it to the people seriously interested in intercultural differences. It's a nice light read to pass the time in the airport while waiting for the connection though

Finally got around reading it, and couldn't stop 'till it was finished. What can I say? Many things are so familiair and to the point. It is funny reading that in english.But leaving it on the doorstep of an UK camper might not be a good idea. I'm not sure if english people would be interested in the total contence. It contains so many inside memories I better make it an RABCK on the Dutch forum.
