Read this one a few weeks back.

The Power and the Glory is set in a state of Mexico in the 1930s where religion is banned, all alcohol except beer is illegal, and priests are hunted down and shot as traitors. The last priest, an unnamed "whiskey priest", is on the run while struggling to reconcile his faith, his demons, his pride, his compassion, his fear, his vocation, and his need for atonement.

Said to be Greene's masterpiece, although I personally have found a couple of his others more enjoyable. Also on the 1001 books list.

Offered on greenbadger's "One book a month offered 2017" thread for March.

I enjoyed this greatly, Green's writing is faultless and the story is full or humanity.
