Perfect couple; perfect lie. The not-to-be-missed new psychological thriller from Caroline Overington. We all keep secrets. Some are deadly. Will I survive this book?
This was a disappointing read as the author has an Australian connection. All the characters were unlikable from the needy wife to the pushy sister and father, and sexual predator husband. I was tossing up whether to give up on the book since it was so tiresome to read about the wife's outrage over her husband's affair when it was clear from the outset that he was always going to be that kind of man. Just who is ‘the one who got away’?

Caught today.
Not her best offering but still a great read from Aussie Caroline Overington. This is an engaging psychological thriller with a sound plot and is nicely paced. Worth reading.

I have heard lots of good things about Caroline Overington-the-novelist but have so far resisted to the temptation because of Caroline-Overington-the-Murdochian-journalist. I can be a bit prejudiced that way. Anyway, time to set biases aside and give her a go.
Perfect quick read for that pre-holiday season. It worked quite well until the last pages in my view. Still a comfortable page-turner and sometimes that is exactly what one needs! Ready to travel again.
